Multiple Discharge Shower Head With Revolving Nozzle

View page
US Patent:
6719218, Apr 13, 2004
Filed:
Jun 25, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/888892
Inventors:
Lonnie F. Cool - North Olmsted OH
Mark S. Kacik - Strongsville OH
Yaakov Korb - Cleveland Heights OH
Richard A. Parso - Brunswick OH
Stephen J. Zaborszki - Northfield Center OH
Assignee:
Moen Incorporated - North Olmsted OH
International Classification:
A62C 3100
US Classification:
239443, 239440, 239449, 23922211, 23922217
Abstract:
A shower head has a housing with a water inlet and a control valve which connects to the housing inlet and has a plurality of water outlets. The control valve regulates the flow of water to a plurality of circumferentially arranged spray openings and to a nozzle which is located within the periphery of the spray openings. The nozzle has the ability to turn or spin, thus providing a soft spray which may be independent of or concurrent with the discharge of water from the spray openings. The nozzle may also wobble, which movement may be described as nutational, or the slow movement of the axis of the nozzle about another axis. Wobbling movement provides a somewhat more concentrated spray than that provided when the nozzle only spins. The shower head further has an auxiliary port which may be utilized with other spray devices such as fixed sprays or hand-held shower heads.

Backpressure Relief Valve

View page
US Patent:
7896024, Mar 1, 2011
Filed:
Jan 10, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/651957
Inventors:
Yaakov Korb - Grafton OH,
Dale A. Pulver - University Heights OH,
Assignee:
Moen Incorporated - North Olmstead OH
International Classification:
F16L 5/00
US Classification:
137360, 137218, 137860
Abstract:
A sillcock for supplying varying amounts of water at various temperatures includes a backpressure relief valve for relieving backpressure in the sillcock. The sillcock includes a sillcock tube and a valve body attached to the sillcock tube. A cartridge assembly is provided in the valve body, and an actuation assembly extends through the sillcock tube. The actuation assembly cooperates with the cartridge assembly to control the volume and temperature of water exiting the sillcock according to the axial and rotational movements of a knob. The backpressure relief valve includes a deformable member operable to allow water to be expelled from the sillcock if backpressure is present.

Water Filter Assembly

B01D 27/00
B01D 27/08
B01D 35/00
B01D 35/28
B01D 29/00
US Classification:
210235, 210232, 210234, 210236, 210238, 210435, 210437, 210440, 210443, 210455, 210457
Abstract:
A water filtration system includes a faucet assembly and a filtration assembly. The filtration assembly includes a filter assembly; a filter bracket or mounting assembly for securing the filter assembly to a support surface or structure; and a filter manifold assembly including an unfiltered water inlet for connecting to an unfiltered water supply and a filtered water outlet for connecting to a valve assembly of the faucet assembly. The filter assembly interfaces with the filter manifold assembly to provide filtered water to the faucet assembly under control of the valve assembly. A filter that otherwise would not interface with the filter bracket/mounting assembly and/or the filter manifold assembly can be adapted to work in the water filtration system by using a filter adaptor assembly.

Showerhead

US Patent:
2005028, Dec 29, 2005
Filed:
Jun 24, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/875703
Inventors:
Yaakov Korb - Elyria OH,
Lonnie Cool - North Olmsted OH,
International Classification:
B05B001/14
US Classification:
239552000, 239600000, 239556000, 239558000
Abstract:
A showerhead includes a base connected with a water supply assembly. The base has a front wall with a plurality of water outlets; a plurality of waterways for directing water from the water supply assembly to the water outlets; and a plurality of cavities between the waterways that are not pressurized with water when the showerhead is operated. The showerhead may optionally include a front cover releasably supported on the base, and having a plurality of openings through which water from the water outlets of the base flows. If so, the front cover may be decorative and not pressurized with water when the showerhead is operated. A non-adjustable showerhead includes a structural unit having waterways that limit the surface area of the structural unit that is exposed to water pressure thereby limiting the force on the structural unit. The front wall of the structural unit may be exposed and serve not only a structural function but also as the esthetic part of the showerhead.
