Abstract:
Dispersible aqueous textile treatment compositions, such as fabric softeners, which include biodegradable quaternary ammonium fabric softener actives, and which exhibit excellent long-term storage stability, even where the storage is at elevated temperatures over long periods of time. The compositions comprise a biodegradable, fatty ester quaternary ammonium compound derived from the reaction of an alkanol amine and a fatty acid derivative, followed by quaternization; together with a periodate salt, such as potassium periodate.

Abstract:
The invention provides fabric conditioning compositions, which include as the conditioning agent, one or more quaternary ester ammonium salt compounds, which include a mixture of quaternary mono-, di- and tri-ester ammonium salt components, wherein the amount of quaternary diester ammonium salts is greater than about 40% by weight, and the amount of quaternary triester ammonium salts is less than about 20% by weight based on the total amount of quaternary ester ammonium salts. The composition contains a high level of quaternary diester ammonium salt content, and low level of quaternary triester ammonium salt content.

A nonaqueous liquid nonbuilt laundry detergent bleach booster composition comprising a suspension or solution of diacetyl methyl amine (DAMA) organic liquid peroxy compound precursor in liquid nonionic surfactant. The bleach booster composition comprises a nonaqueous liquid nonionic surfactant containing a stable suspension or solution of diacetyl methyl amine (DAMA) and an anti-gel and viscosity control agent. The bleach booster composition is easily pourable and readily disperses on contact with water.
